A 55-seat room — reservations are limited.

Crust & Cocktails is at 1256 Weathervane Lane, Akron, Ohio 44313, in Liberty Commons. The room opens Monday through Thursday from four until eleven, Friday from four until midnight, Saturday from eleven until midnight, and Sunday from eleven until nine. The number is 234-272-3090.
It is a small storefront, so it helps to know what you are looking for: the hanging seal above the door on Weathervane Lane. Once you have seen it once you will never miss it again.
The address is 1256 Weathervane Ln, Akron, OH 44313, and the phone number is 234-272-3090. The Google listing carries the pin if you would rather navigate to the map than the street number.
Liberty Commons is the run of storefronts off Weathervane Lane on the northwest side of Akron, just above the Merriman Valley. Coming from Bath or Fairlawn it is a short drive down; coming up from Highland Square or the towpath it is a few minutes north. The Cuyahoga and the valley trails are close enough that summer evenings here are full of people who spent the afternoon outdoors.
Inside it is fifty-five seats: a bar along one wall and tables through the rest of the room. Reservations are limited, so the room runs mostly on walk-ins — that is a feature at five o’clock on a Tuesday and worth planning around at eight on a Saturday.
First-timers usually ask the same two questions at the door, so here are the answers up front. Yes, you can eat a full meal at the bar, and several people prefer it. And no, there is no separate back room — what you see through the window is the whole restaurant, which is the reason a Wednesday here feels sociable rather than empty.
Looking for work rather than a table? Crust & Cocktails is accepting applications; see the careers page.
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday: open four in the afternoon, closed at eleven. Friday: open at four, closed at midnight. Saturday: open at eleven in the morning, closed at midnight. Sunday: eleven until nine.
Picking a time is mostly about what you want the evening to feel like. Straight after opening on a weeknight the room is calm and the bar has time for a conversation about what to drink. From seven onwards on Friday and Saturday it is full and loud in the good way. Sunday afternoon sits somewhere in between, and is the sleeper pick for a long lunch that runs into the early evening.
Friday and Saturday evenings are the other variable. The room fills after seven, so come early and take whatever is free.
Ordering happens at the table or the bar, from the printed menu, and everything — antipasti, pizza, panini, wine, beer, cocktails — comes from the same room you are sitting in. To order ahead, use Toast for pickup or DoorDash for delivery or pickup.
Worth knowing before you arrive hungry: the pizzas are made to order, so a full room means a wait between sitting down and eating. The fix is to order an antipasto at the same time as the pizza rather than after it. Rustic Bread & Spread at $10 or the meatballs at $9 will be on the table long before the pizza is.
